Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Blocking doesn't work.

Check that the app is allowed access under Settings > Screen Time in iOS. You can also check this in the app under Settings > iOS Permissions (「設定 > iOS の許可」).

Q. How can I end blocking right now?

You can end it from the focus screen in the app (a waiting period applies, depending on the strength). If you cannot end it in the app for any reason, revoking the app's access under Settings > Screen Time in iOS will always end the blocking.

Q. How can I stop writing to my calendar?

Turn off “Write time blocks” (「予定枠を書き込む」) under Settings > Writing to Calendar (「設定 > カレンダーへの書き込み」), and upcoming events will be removed from your calendar (past events remain). To delete the “LifeOwner” calendar created by the app altogether, delete it in the iOS Calendar app.

You can also use Settings > Delete All Data (「設定 > すべてのデータを削除」) in the app to delete all events the app wrote, including past events (if the calendar becomes empty, the calendar is also deleted). Note that this also deletes all other data in the app, such as your schedules and session records.

Q. How can I cancel my subscription?

Cancel it in the app under Settings > Plan > Manage Subscription (「設定 > プラン > サブスクリプションを管理」), or in iOS under Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. After canceling, you can keep using it until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Q. How can I get a refund?

Purchases and refunds on the App Store are handled by Apple. Please submit a request from Apple's Report a Problem page.

Q. Where is my data stored?

Your schedules, session records, and reflections are stored only on your device and are never sent to the developer. For details, see the Privacy Policy.

Q. I switched to a new iPhone.

Your schedules and session records come back when you restore the new iPhone from an iCloud backup or similar. However, Screen Time permission and the apps chosen in your allowed sets (「許可セット」) are tied to each device and are not carried over. On the new iPhone, allow Screen Time again in the app under Settings > iOS Permissions (「設定 > iOS の許可」), and choose the apps in your allowed sets again.
